I have known Steve for a very long time. Since the mid 70's. As teenagers we were active on the airwaves on all radio bands including CB radios. Steve and I partly formed the VE group on 11 meters Ch 18 USB where Steve eventually got his amateur license and both of us moved on. Many of us radio operators and friends used to meet every Saturday morning on Ogilvie Rd near St-Laurent Blvd for the usual french fries and Diet Coke. That was back in 70's and mid 80's.
