Steve was the first person to welcome me on the repeater.  He was always there to greet people and help newcomers feel at home on their first contact.

Over time, me and Seve (VE3SKP) became friends and we always helped the ham radio community. we had long chats about radio, weather and best of all Steve was always giving infos on how the band was for the day! he will be missed a lot.

I am proud to say that Steve was a beloved person, always full of joy and ready to defend our hobby, whatever the cost. He stood up for the Manotick Amateur Radio Group (MARG) when it was needed, and i thank him for that.

It's people like him that makes our hobby more enjoyable. We are all different but Steve was REAL ham radio operator, always there for everyone. he had a HUGE heart full of love for everybody.
