Mrs. Hsiao Wei "May" Lin  (née Liang) was born in Guangzhou, China in 1939.  She married Mr. Shu Chi "John" Lin in 1961.  Together, they have a daughter, Anna, and a son, Kinson.  She had an accomplished career as a surgical room nurse in the hospital before her family immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1978.  Like many other immigrants, she changed career and worked in the restaurant industry while raising her children, who both grew up to have professional careers, married with children and, active in their local communities. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many who knew her.  Spending time with her 3 grandchildren, Amanda Wong, Hugo Lin and Sawa Lin always brought her joy.  She was a talented dancer since her youth and enjoyed performing with other seniors in the Chinese community during her retirement.  

Mrs. Lin accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour in 1999.  The Emmanuel Alliance Church of Ottawa was her second home, where she attended regularly with her loving husband, before health challenges set in.  Since her battle against Non-hodgkin Lymphoma in 2005, she continued to trust in God as her shepherd. She witnessed the Lord's mercy and power through answered prayers, and shared her testimony in an article published in the Chinese Christian newspaper called The Herald Monthly that was distributed all over Ontario and beyond.  In God's grace, she lived by faith and obedience until the end.  The Lord welcomed her to her eternal home in heaven on June 13th, 2017.
