Obituary for Maria Luisa Da Silva
December 17, 1927 – October 11, 2018
At the age of 90, Maria Luisa passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Loving wife of the late Manuel Augusto Da Silva. Much loved and loving mother of Luis Manuel (Louise) and Maria Manuela (Geoff) Da Silva. Proud grandmother of Amanda, Kayla, Jenna and Brandon and great-grandmother of Brendan. Eldest daughter of the late Elisa and Manuel Da Silva; dear sister to Silvina (late Valqueiro), Lamberto (Belmira), Aldina (late Getulio) and Joao Manuel (Maria de Lurdes) and many nieces and nephews; predeceased by her siblings Manuel, Lurdes, Candido and Juvenal (family’s guardian angel) and by many brother/sister-in-laws late Ruben (late Celeste), late Eugenia, Vitalina (late Manuel) and late Antero (Maria Jose).
Maria Luisa will be profoundly missed by her family by whom she was so deeply loved. She was an extraordinary daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Visitation will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa.
The funeral service will take place at Espirito Santo Catholic Church, 13 Ste-Bernadette St., Gatineau (Hull), QC at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
The family would like to thank Bruyere Continuing Care in particular the day program team for their exceptional care. Donations may be made to Foundation Bruyere Foundation in her memory.
