Condolence From: John Engeland and Pam McDonald
Condolence: Dear Barb,
Words are so insufficient yet they are all that Pam and I have to convey our sympathy to you and, indeed, to all of Geoff’s family. Being up at the cottage some six hour’s drive from Ottawa, we cannot attend the celebration of life being held for Geoff. We will, however, be there in spirit.
Geoff was truly so shy and humble that, though living only two houses away, we never became acquainted wth his prodigious talent on the electric guitar.
Now, we can only hope that in time the pain you feel so palpably at this moment will fade to be replaced by all the warmth embodied in Geoff’s musical legacy.
Our hearts go out to you.

Condolence From: Mike Houston
Condolence: My heart filled with sadness and grief on hearing of Geoff’s passing. We met in high school actually my first new friend in high school! I remember sitting in his basement and listening and watching him play that raven sg he got from his mom for getting good grades. It was obvious then he had something special. I remember Gail and Dawn doing a dance routine in your kitchen to a sly and the family stone song and Geoff and I giving a round of applause and a standing ovation! He was so proud of you guys
The last time I saw Geoff was at my wedding and I wish we had stayed in touch more.
Geoff was the kindest gentlest soul with an extraordinary talent and I am the better for having known him.

Condolence: Dear Dawn Johnson and Family,
I was so shocked, sad and sorry to hear of Geoffrey’s untimely passing – a loss to his entire and extended family ! Please accept my sincere and deepest condolences. I very clearly remember Geoffrey as an adorable and sweet 5 year old lad. Seeing him earlier this year as a full –grown adult, I immediately saw how kind and gentle a soul he still was. Geoffrey was an excellent soft-spoken , sweet soul and ever the young man. I know he was an excellent son, brother, Uncle and friend. The musician community and audiences will also greatly miss him. This is very hard news, indeed. My Prayers are with you and the entire and extended Family at this most difficult time!
