Obituary for Patricia Ann Crook (Pearson)

Patricia Ann Crook (Pearson)
September 29, 1932- May 21, 2018

Pat achieved her true desire to join her beloved husband of 46 years, Dale, after a heartbreaking battle with dementia. Daughter of Eileen (nee Griffith) and William Pearson from Sherbrooke, Quebec. Predeceased by sisters Joan and Elizabeth. Growing up in Richmond Quebec, Pat went on to work as a secretary at Bell Telephone in Sherbrooke. She married her childhood sweetheart in 1958 and the two went on to share an extraordinary life in the Armed Forces. After settling in Otawa she fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse, working at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for 25 years. Pat was an amazing mom. She will be remembered by her devoted son Colin, daughter Bonnie (Ron), wonderful military family and friends, as strong-willed, with a cheeky sense of humour. She adored her grandchildren Brad and Chris Crook, Kiley and Quinn Tasker and four great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Rev. George Clifford, Brad and Klaus for supporting Pat over the years.

Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) Ottawa, on Monday, May 28th, 2018 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 11am with reception to follow. Interment National Military Cemetery at Beechwood, 280 Beechwood Avenue. Ottawa All are welcome. Donations can be made in Pat’s honor to the Dementia Society of Ottawa.
