Rest in Peace George (Giorgos) Moutsatsos who died peacefully with family on December 9th 2017 in Ottawa. You were born June 16th, 1930 in Katavorthra (Metamorfosis), Greece. Your father was Iouanis Moutsatsos and your mother was Maria Prokovakis. You had five brothers: Sotiris (1929-1970), Kiriakos (1932), Leonidas (1934), Konstandino (1935-2013), Panagiotis (1940-2017). You came to Ottawa, Canada in 1957 to start a new life. In 1958 you married Catherine Ekonomakis (1938) who loved and cared for you until you died. You have two sons and one daughter in law: John (1960) , Peter (1965) and Beatriz Moutsatsos-hercules (1960). Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Byron) on Tuesday, December 12th starting at 4:00 PM ending with a Trisagion prayer at 7:00 PM. by Father Alex of the Hellenic community of Ottawa. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at 11:00 AM at Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, (1315 Prince of Wales Drive) followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road. In memoriam donations in lieu of flowers, to ‘Hellenic Community of Ottawa’ (Greek Orthodox Church).
