Surrounded by his loving wife and daughters, Hugh peacefully passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, August 18, 2017, at the age of 88 years. Much loved husband of Shirley Deighton (née Payne). Loving father of Amy Atkinson (Kevin), Joy Dicks (Darren) and Lorna Reuber (Greg). Cherished Papa of Megan Dicks, Aedan Atkinson, Jacob Dicks, Griffin Atkinson, Emma Reuber, Ally Reuber, Ciara Atkinson, Caleb Dicks, Evan Reuber, Maura Atkinson, Owen Reuber, Quin Atkinson and Oliver Reuber. Predeceased by his brothers, Lorne and Laurie, and sisters, Eleanor Booth, Bernice Penfound and Donna Deighton. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott, Kemptville on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 12 noon to 1 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Interment at Oxford Mills Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to World Vision Canada.
